Watermelon "Sundae": An Easy and Healthy Snack for Kids
To celebrate the launch of our new Summer Fun Collection, we teamed up with Lydia from Lydia Louise Blog to create a fun and tasty treat for kids. These Watermelon "Sundaes" incorporate the two major themes from the collection - watermelon and ice cream!
So let's get into it!
Here's what you'll need to create the perfect Watermelon Sundae:
- Watermelon
- An ice cream scooper
- Whipped cream
- Fun sprinkles (we used sprinkles from Sprinkle Pop Shop)
- Bonus points if you use watermelon-themed paper goods like the ones we used from Ellie and Piper
Once you have your ingredients, assembling the sundae is super easy:
- Cut open the watermelon and use the ice cream scooper for a perfect scoop
- Top with whipped cream
- Decorate with sprinkles (this is a great step for getting little ones involved)
- Eat and enjoy!
This summer might be different than usual, but we believe everyday is a party worth celebrating ... even if that's a socially distant party at home! And these Watermelon "Sundaes" are the perfect treat to make another day at home feel festive.
